• Camp Connections is a fantastic Christian summer camp held at Providence Point Retreat Centre in beautiful Lanark, Ontario. Campers from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and New York State enjoy amazing Lanark County while learning about Christ’s ultimate sacrifice. Camp Connections is a place for youth aged 12-18 to have fun sharing, competing and teaching one another in a wonderful, safe and enriching environment.

  In 2006, our interdenominational youth camp moved to Lanark, Ontario and was “re-born” as Camp Connections. We were originally located in Vendee, Quebec close to Mont Tremblant where, after thirteen years as Camp Vendee the property we had been using was sold; we decided to relocate, rather than disband. Our camp is now located at beautiful Providence Point, a Christian retreat and camping centre located in Lanark. We are a Christian camp, targeting youth from 12-20, and believe the most important message to get across during each six-day camp is the message of hope and salvation in Jesus Christ.

  One of the strengths of Camp Connections is its small and intimate environment; our facility’s capacity is 50 campers. We pride ourselves on the close friendships that are created between staff members, staff and campers, and campers with each other. Another benefit is the price of our camp which is significantly less than many camps in the area. (prices are listed on the application form) For that price we have water-skiing, sports (including: beach volleyball, soccer, softball, basketball, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee), swimming, canoeing, kayaking, water trampoline, ballroom dancing, drama, worship and learning, and amazing food. These all help to facilitate what we believe to be the greatest benefit of Camp Connections – the lives that have been transformed by Christ at camp. Year after year campers keep returning because of the spiritual renewal they receive at camp and return home better equipped to face the difficulties that confront them.

   

  STATEMENT OF FAITH

  We Believe:

  In one holy, loving, all-powerful, and gracious Creator God who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, fully authoritative for all matters of faith and practice. That Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully human, is both Lord and Savior. That Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for human sin, that he was raised bodily on the third day, and that he ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father. That Jesus Christ will come again to judge the living and the dead and to reign over all things. In the Holy Spirit, who brings sinners to repentance, who gives eternal life to believers, and who lives in them to conform them to the image of Jesus Christ. That Christians should gather in regular fellowship and live lives of faith that make evident the good news that humans enter the kingdom of God by putting their trust in Jesus Christ.  In the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. That salvation comes not by works, but only by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. In the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
